Welcome to Events!

Salutations! We’re thrilled to introduce you to the Events category of the Youth Leaders of York Regions’ newsletter!

Youth Leaders of York Region is a student-run non-profit organization. We aim to provide youth in York Region with opportunities to speak out for causes they believe in and to develop soft skills such as communication. Ever since the foundation of our council, we’ve encouraged youth to give back to their communities by hosting exciting events alongside local charities as well as creating volunteer initiatives.

The Events section of the newsletter will be focusing on the events and campaigns around our community. Ranging from educational posts on social media to annual fairs such as the Markham Expo, we’ll fill you in on the various ways to get involved in your community and have more fun, even amidst this pandemic! Each month you will find new information on different movements with a variety of topics from Indigenous Peoples to the environment and so much more!
