AxL : Stress to Success

Now we are finally having an event held by our council - Youth Leaders of York Region! Looking to relax AND get advice on establishing a healthy and successful academic career? You’re in luck!

The Youth Leaders of York Region is holding “AxL: Stress to Success,” an event focused on promoting student wellbeing! Listen in on a guest speaker give their tips on navigating high school (and answer your questions on extracurricular opportunities and getting ahead of the curve!!), workshops, fun activities and interactions with our team, and meet other attendees! This event, AxL: Stress to Success will be taking place on Sunday, May 21st from 2-4 pm at Starbucks, 201 Main Street, Unionville, ON L3R 2G8.

Markham Youth Expo

Markham’s annual EXPO is back! After two years of online events, you can finally visit a variety of booths, eat from all sorts of food trucks, and do fun activities with your friends!

There will also be Markham youth ambassadors who have a few booths of their own, to share with you during the event! Check out SkillsWorks to hone specific skills, or Kids Zone to show off your sports skills and play guessing games.

The Expo will be held at Aaniin Community Centre on May 6th, 2023, from 3 PM to 8 PM. Visit @mayorsyc to learn more!

Anime North

Anime North is an anime convention located in Toronto that celebrates anime, manga, music, games and all other forms of Japanese culture! It is also the largest fan-run anime convention in Canada by attendance numbers. It will be held during the weekend of May 26-28, 2023 at the Toronto Congress Centre, Delta Hotel Airport and Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel.
