Hi everyone and welcome to the year of the Rabbit!

Lunar New Year is a celebration of the beginning of the lunar calendar. There are a variety of ways that different cultures celebrate this occasion, ranging from firecrackers and red envelopes in China to playing folk games and eating traditional food in Korea.

One of the most important and common ways of celebrating the lunar new year is spending time with family. However, what makes this celebration so unique is that there isn’t a set date! In fact, the date can range from late January to mid February every year.

Each year, there is a zodiac animal that represents that lunar year in the order of rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. This year is the year of the Rabbit! People born in the year of the rabbit tend to be kind, gentle, and elegant yet alert and skillful, much like the animal itself.
I hope that whether or not you celebrate the lunar new year, you were able to spend some time with your family and loved ones this month!
