Welcome to Youth Leaders of York Regions' Opportunity category of this newsletter!
YLoYR is a student-run non-profit organization. Our goal is to provide youth in York Region with opportunities to advocate for causes they are passionate about and to help them develop their skills, such as leadership. Throughout the year, our council encourages youth to give back to their communities by hosting exciting events alongside local charities as well as creating volunteer initiatives for youth across York Region.
In this section of the newsletter, you will find thrilling new opportunities for youth in grades 7 through 12. These can include places to volunteer, whether that be for benefiting the general community, or for volunteer hours in high school. We will be posting monthly updates on a variety of opportunities to work with others and gain valuable skills such as teamwork, leadership, and initiative, as well as precious friends whom you otherwise wouldn't have met.
