There were many intriguing opportunities in February, ranging from Volunteer Markham’s Snow Heroes to being a potential teacher. While this was a great opportunity, it’s now March and while the snow is melting, there are even more chances to help others. Without further ado, let’s take a look at volunteer opportunities for this month!
Team positions in Agape Tutoring
Firstly, Agape Tutoring is now looking for volunteers for their external and internal affairs team, their finance and human resources coordinators, and their executives. Agape Tutoring is a non-profit organization led by youth to provide expanded education for all students. They aim to help students in grades 1-8 excel in their academic endeavors through our tutoring services, peer editing, and insightful resources. Find out more about them here.
The positions require a variety of background knowledge and time, and volunteer hours are provided if you need them. Click here for more information concerning the different roles. Let’s work together to create a brighter future for children in the GTA!
Under Armour 2022 Spring Run-off
The Under Armour Spring Run-Off is an event hosted every year since 1978, welcoming people of all ages to participate. This year, participants have the choice between a 8 km, 5 km, or KidsRun distances, and in light of the pandemic, participants can opt to race in-person or virtually. Volunteers from Volunteer Peel will be responsible for the upper course water station, and each shift still has a few spots left.
The requirements are simple; distribute water and encourage runners, as well as setting up and clearing the water station before and after. If you’re interested, click here to volunteer and enter the password VolPeelLC.
