SickKids GetLoud
Introducing SickKids Getloud, a family-friendly fun event you can have: an all-ages outdoor walk/fun run & festival, with live music, BBQ lunch, beer garden, and activities & entertainment for everyone. The objective of the event is to get active and fundraise, and eventually make an impact to build a new SickKids!
GetLoud also provides virtual events, where you can get active by walking or running to support SickKids wherever you are; You can get active by walking or running in support of SickKids, wherever you are. Choose a challenge, set a goal, and track your kilometres on the GetLoud website or via your favourite tracker. Hit the fundraising minimum and celebrate with SickKids on October 1st for a fun and LOUD day!
You can participate as a member of a corporate team, or walk and run as an individual, see website for details.
Also, you can help bring GetLoud to life as a member of the volunteer crew. You can gain skills and qualifications by supporting a variety of volunteer crew roles while earning volunteer hours.
OSSTF Student Achievement Awards 2023
The OSSTF/FEESO is once again offering a Unique opportunity for secondary student writers and artists to use their creativity towards an award. The Student Achievement Awards is a writing and creative arts competition, which is open to all public secondary school students in Ontario. The competition is meant to encourage the intellectual development of students and an interest in society. The Student Achievement Award of $1000.00 will be awarded to 11 students, so don't miss it! The Loran 2023 Award
The Loran 2023 award is beginning its search to find its new scholar. It supports promising young Canadians who show strength of character and a commitment to service in their communities, challenging them to their full leadership potential.
The Loran Award is one of a kind and offers a four-year leadership enrichment program consisting of summer work experiences, mentorships, annual gatherings, an annual living stipend, a tuition waiver at one of 25 university partners, and a community of people working to build a better world.
